When you visit our website, we collect any contact information that you voluntarily provide to us on our Sign Up page, including your name and email address, in order to communicate in response to you. If you register on our website, we will collect your username and email address so that we may provide the full Extension functionality to you and provide you with personalized information, monitor users’ compliance with our policies, send communications to you about your registration or the Services, and for other purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. We collect personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide in response to questions that we may ask you during registration or subsequently in order to provide you with information that is relevant to your interests and priorities, improve our content and Services, and for other purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. We also collect personally identifiable information when you communicate with us including personal correspondence such as emails or any other activity through which you identify yourself in order to send communications to you, improve our content and Services, and for other purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. To the extent we are able to do so, we may link your non-personally identifiable information with your personally identifiable information. We may also link information collected online with information we collect offline or information collected online by third parties.

Collection from Linked Applications

You may also be able to choose to link your account with certain third-party applications, such as Facebook. When you link your account to one of these third-party applications, we will request permission to access your basic information such as your name, profile picture, gender, networks, username, list of friends, and any other information you have made public on that application.

Automated Collection

While you browse our website or use the Extension, we may collect information, that by itself typically cannot be used to identify or contact you, through the use of cookies or other now known or later developed technologies to assist us in observing the behavior of users visiting our website or using our Services. Such information may include your web browser type and browser language, internet protocol address, device information (including type, specifications, settings, and operating system), geographic location, and, in addition to information on where you arrived from, navigational actions you may take on our website or our Services such as which pages you view and which links you click. When you use our Extension, we collect information to provide the Services to you and provide content and functionality that we believe is more relevant to you, including information about what products and services you have looked at, and what purchases you have made.

Cookies: A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. If you wish to limit, block or delete cookies from our website – or any other website – you can use your browser to do this. Each browser is different so check the ‘Help’ menu of your particular browser or the browser settings for your mobile device to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

If you do this, however, certain features of our website or our Extension may not work correctly or cannot be provided to you.

Web beacons (tracking pixels): Web beacons (also known as tracking pixels) are bits of data that count the number of users who access a website or open an email and can also allow us to see if a cookie has been activated. Web beacons used on web pages or in emails allow us to see how successful an article has been, or whether an email message was successfully delivered and read in a marketing campaign. We also use web beacons to learn if you have clicked on any links contained in emails. We may use this information to help us identify which emails are more interesting to you and to inform third parties how many individuals have clicked on their links (the information shared with third parties is aggregated and does not identify you individually).

Local Storage: We use local storage, such as HTML5, to store content and preferences in order to provide the Services to you, including content that we believe is more relevant to your interests and priorities, and for other purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice.

Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Some content on our website and in our Extension may be served by third parties including content providers and application providers. These third parties may use cookies, alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website or Extension. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. Their collection of information is governed by their privacy notices. If you have any questions about targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Third-Party Collection Through Linked Applications

Some our Services allow you to connect your account to third party services, like Facebook, through single sign-on authorization. If you choose to connect your account with a third-party application, that third-party application may have access to certain personal information including, but not limited to, your name, username, email address, location, and age. Connecting your account may also allow a third-party application to collect your IP address, which page(s) you are visiting on our Services, and may set a cookie for its feature(s) to function properly. Additionally, that third party application may share some of your personal information on its service with us, and your interactions with it on our Services may be shared with others within your social network. Depending on the application, your ability to adjust your account settings and the sharing of your personal information may reside in our Services or within the third-party application. Please be aware that your ability to use single sign-on authorization with third-party applications may be reduced or eliminated by any limitations you set on the sharing of your personal information.

A third-party application’s use of information collected from you (or as authorized by you) is governed by the third-party application privacy policy and your settings on its service. We are not responsible for the collection and use of your information by third-party applications.

Third-Party Websites

This Privacy Notice applies solely to information collected by us. This Privacy Notice does not apply to other websites that are accessible through our website. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that you visit.

Do Not Track

Some web browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature. This feature lets you tell websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Our Services are currently set up to respond to those signals. These features are not yet uniform across browsers nor is there a common agreement about how to implement these features or interpret user intent. We have implemented the recommendation made by the World Wide Web Consortium https://www.w3.org/TR/tracking-compliance/. Please note, however, that we, like many websites, utilize Google Analytics, which does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. As a result, Google may track your activity across the web. We do not have access to that tracking information.
